At this time, the studio and lodgings are available for daily or weekly rental. Watch for upcoming announcements about classes and workshops. We may add additional classes in 2014. Keep checking back!

Current Rental Rates

Daily studio rental: $50, limited to 1 or 2 artists
Daily studio rental for groups of 3+: $25 per participant
Nightly residence rental: $90
Weekly residence rental: $500

For special accommodations, extended stay rates, or educational offerings please inquire via email.
All prices in U.S. dollars.

Weekend Workshops

Weekend workshops run Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 3; participants will be offered use of the print facility on the following Monday for further independent work. 

Class sizes range from a minimum of 3 students to a maximum of 7. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

The cost for classes is $175, plus an additional material fee (varies by class; see list for details). This rate includes instruction time with both Buffy and Bruce, two weekend days, and extra shop time on Monday.

April 22 & 23
JUST HAVE FUN ON THE PRESS
This is an introductory class on printmaking; it will explore several types of printmaking on the etching press. Students will be encouraged to play with painting on a plate, scratching lines on the plate and pasting things on the plate to produce varied images and effects   for startling results.

May 6 &7
MONO PRINT 
This class will start with acrylic plates where we will apply ink by rolling painting and scratching, then rolling the plate through the press this is a more painterly approach to printing with lots of fun and colorful results.

May 20 & 21
COLOGRAPH PRINTING
Colograph printing is accomplished by applying different materials (such as cardboard, metal, tape or paint medium) to the printing plate inking it and running it through the press. This process makes for lots of very interesting shapes and textures. I once heard some one say, “If you can ink it you can print it “

June 10 & 11
COPER PLATE ETCHING
This class we’ll learn to etch lines in a copper plate etching with ferric chloride, a iron type of salt.  After the lines are etched and printed tone can be added by way of an aquatint to produce a shaded picture, creating a very cool graphic look.
