Spring / Summer Schedule
April 22 & 23
This is an introductory class on printmaking; it will explore several types of printmaking on the etching press. Students will be encouraged to play with painting on a plate, scratching lines on the plate and pasting things on the plate to produce varied images and effects   for startling results.

May 6 &7
This class will start with acrylic plates where we will apply ink by rolling painting and scratching, then rolling the plate through the press this is a more painterly approach to printing with lots of fun and colorful results.

May 20 & 21
Colograph printing is accomplished by applying different materials (such as cardboard, metal, tape or paint medium) to the printing plate inking it and running it through the press. This process makes for lots of very interesting shapes and textures. I once heard some one say, “If you can ink it you can print it “
$175 materials included

June 10 & 11
This class we’ll learn to etch lines in a copper plate etching with ferric chloride, a iron type of salt.  After the lines are etched and printed tone can be added by way of an aquatint to produce a shaded picture, creating a very cool graphic look.
